¶ Nothing happened to our feet despite walking barefoot.

घर के पास काफी दिन से एक बड़ी इमारत का काम चल रहा था। वहां रोज मजदूरों के छोटे-छोटे बच्चे एक दूसरे की शर्ट पकड कर रेल-रेल का खेल खेलते थे। रोज कोई बच्चा इंजन बनता और बाकी बच्चे डिब्बे बनते थे। इंजन और डिब्बे वाले बच्चे रोज बदल जाते पर केवल चङ्ङी पहना एक छोटा बच्चा हाथ में रखा कपड़ा घुमाते हुए रोज गार्ड बनता था।

एक दिन उन बच्चों को खेलते हुए रोज़ देखते देखते मैने कौतुहल से गार्ड बनने वाले बच्चे को पास बुलाकर पूछा....

"बच्चे, तुम रोज़ गार्ड बनते हो। तुम्हें कभी इंजन, कभी डिब्बा बनने की इच्छा नहीं होती?"

इस पर वो बच्चा बोला...

"बाबूजी, मेरे पास पहनने के लिए कोई शर्ट नहीं है। तो मेरे पीछे वाले बच्चे मुझे कैसे पकड़ेंगे और मेरे पीछे कौन खड़ा रहेगा? इसीलिए मैं रोज गार्ड बनकर ही खेल में हिस्सा लेता हूँ।

"ये बोलते समय मुझे उसकी आँखों में पानी दिखाई दिया।

आज वो बच्चा मुझे जीवन का एक बड़ा पाठ पढ़ा गया...

किसी का जीवन कभी भी परिपूर्ण नहीं होता। उसमें कोई न कोई कमी जरुर रहेगी....

वो बच्चा माँ-बाप से ग़ुस्सा होकर रोते हुए बैठ सकता था। परन्तु ऐसा न करते हुए उसने परिस्थितियों का समाधान ढूंढा।

हम कितना रोते हैं?

कभी अपने साँवले रंग के लिए, कभी छोटे क़द के लिए, कभी पड़ौसी की बडी कार, कभी पड़ोसन के गले का हार, कभी अपने कम मार्क्स, कभी अंग्रेज़ी, कभी पर्सनालिटी, कभी नौकरी की मार तो कभी धंधे में मार... कभी अपने सिंगिंग की लो-स्केल को लेकर...

हमें इससे बाहर आना ही पड़ता है...

ये जीवन है... इसे ऐसे ही जीना पड़ता है।

चील की ऊँची उड़ान देखकर चिड़िया कभी डिप्रेशन में नहीं आती। वो अपने आस्तित्व में मस्त रहती है।

मगर इंसान, इंसान की ऊँची उड़ान देखकर बहुत जल्दी चिंता में आ जाते हैं।

तुलना से बचें और खुश रहें।

ना किसी से ईर्ष्या, ना किसी से कोई होड़..
